Had to fix few errors, one major one being Mifune appearing in the school in the Atonement chapter. Man, whenever I add new graphics they tend to sneak in elsewhere. This update has some St.Lucia academy since I was in process of releasing more. It has not bug tested, so if visiting, save before it, only few rooms are opened and conversations, since most are closed off so to not to cause errors. So come pay a visit to Higanbana.
I have a new upload again next month as I prepare to go to my annual convention [Anime North]

I'm replaying this chapter and now the talk between Rika and Irie is not triggered and I cannot obtain the passkey. I'm stuck :(.

ReplyDeleteI fixed it this morning and changed the current download. I also opened up Mion intro of Rika-jan, but her game still needs work. I will be fixing St.Lucia chapter and releasing more of it soon.

ReplyDeleteRena still doesn't show up on a second run the fight with Yamainu is still triggered so it is possible to finish this chapter without talking with her.

Also I need some more students to fill out the background of the school. This gives you a chance to create your own higurashi female character that I could sprite and put into the story. Just try not to have too complicated of hair-do >_<
If you do have a character in mind to make, there few questions to add to background. Are you from the same class or one of the other classes? What are your favorite subject, club, hobbies? What are your opinion of the occult, like witches and yokai?
Are you asking ME here about it, or are you planning to include character-creating system in your game and these will be sample questions?
ReplyDeleteFor inspiration, look on "The 7th Stand User", an RPG Tsukuru fangame set in the universe of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. It has a feature called ''evaluation'' where the player has to answer a few questions that determine his/hers OC's appearance,personality, stats and powers.
PS. As for the classes in Hinamizawa, AFAIR because of the size of the village, there was only one classroom and teacher for all ages.
St. Lucia is not in Hinamizawa, and it is the all girl private school outside of Okinomiya. I am offering those testing my game to have their own female character added to the game as a student at the school. Since I have to add a lot of students to populate this school.
ReplyDeleteI am familiar with your evaluation ideas, I had a PSP silent hill game that based stuff in the game by what you coloured and answered in the psyche exam. My questions is not for a character-creating system but just an opportunity to add your own OC if you have one in mind, as I continue programing my game.
Also feedback in general helps me tweak the game to be more enjoyable.
Sorry, I didn't read that OC will start at St. Lucia. My bad. I'll notify you if I come up with some interesting character.
